Kensington Leisure Centre (2023)

It is an excellent center for free time, it has a cool and pleasant atmosphere. It is spacious, ventilated. The pools are large and generally quite clean and well managed.

Tia, the young lady at the front desk, is the epitome of top notch customer service. She was very kind and helpful. She had so many questions and she just smiled and answered them all extremely efficiently. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is amazing, everyone who swims or does yoga is helpful, friendly and kind. I had fun like never before. There are 3 pools. The rest of the facilities look absolutely fantastic, and it's also cheaper than other places. I will definitely make my comeback a regular thing.

A brand new, modern gym with all the amenities you could want. Memberships are reasonably priced and can be split by activity if you wish. I bought it in the morning and the gym is never very crowded which is great.

In front of Grenfell Tower. I always come in here and have a drink at the cafe after paying my respects.

They started playing basketball again after a long break and these guys are renting the court or half court. Surprisingly good price and decent place. Haven't used the changing rooms yet, but overall it's ok. Parking outside is not bad outside of restricted hours, so Saturday and Sunday is free.

The staff were very helpful when I managed to drop my phone between the stands and they immediately helped me retrieve it, thank you.

They have a clean and spacious pool, the staff is very polite and helpful (definitely the best team of all the Better centers I have visited). Covid measures are in place which means you have to come "swim ready" and book in advance so they can regulate the number of people on the trails at any one time. The only negative comment I have is...why do the staff wear tennis shoes around the pool when they ask people to remove their shoes before entering the pool? (A policy that no one seems to care about enforcing.) Definitely one of the best public pools in West London.

It was a nice experience and I didn't give it a higher rating because the Hydro pool is closed and the price is the same.

The pool is amazing!!! And the whole place too. It was my first time here and the guy at the counter helped me with the app and my reservation. All corona measures to protect people are also great, I prefer this way because the pool is not too crowded.

Just had my first swim after lockdown, you can book your time through the Better app. If you scan your membership card more than 5 minutes before the scheduled time, you will not be able to enter. It's worth going, you have plenty of space to yourself and social distancing is easy. I am amazed at the amount of thought that goes into protecting people's safety. I highly recommend visiting it yourself.

Kensington Leisure Center is fantastic and they have adapted very well to the COVID regulations so you feel safe while moving freely around the building and doing your activities. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the one way system is very well signposted. Swimming there is wonderful.

It's good that Omar and Masssimo welcomed you by the pool. Don't expect a hair dryer or costume bag, otherwise clean and sanitize to use when you leave.

A wonderful family pool with a nice family and children's pool. I have been going there for over 2 years since my daughter was born and have always been happy. Changing rooms very clean and tidy and a decent price. Highly recommended because there are not many of them around.

Excellent facilities and very well maintained.

A great place to play badminton with up to 7 courts and the lighting is not bad. The courts are set up quickly and efficiently and the staff are always friendly, they just wish they had a fountain next to the hall! (You have to travel 2 floors up, which is fine when the elevator is working!) The only real problem is why do you have a spiral staircase? There is enough space for stairs which would be easier and safer to use if you have mobility issues and cannot use the lift.

Nice pool with shallow water and fountains for small children and babies. Too crowded on a Saturday morning, making changing rooms and common areas less than spotless. The cafeteria area is nice but needs a bit more attention in terms of more staff and cleaning during busy periods.

Well...although given the 4 stars on the glasses, I have to wonder about that. It's pretty good, but the girls at the reception are dizzy. I first visited to have a training session in the pool. The girl couldn't tell me where to go or how many lanes, or even if she had ever been there) So I made my way. The lockers accept a £1 coin, which I didn't know. All hair dryers don't work) The pool itself is ok. You can train if you have a separate lane. Otherwise the lanes are narrow. I will definitely visit again on Friday when the pool is open for adults only. Just to check and compare visits))

It is a very nice center with friendly staff. I found the guests to be a friendly and pleasant bunch. The main pool is warm and well maintained and a usable size. There are also toddler pools and a learning pool. The cafeteria overlooks the children's pool, but offers a delicious hot chocolate or a cup of coffee. It is worth a visit.

Spa day for the girls - very nice, very clean, a fantastic experience and a variety of treatments. It was small but it was very nice because it made the place very cozy and relaxing. We all had a great experience with the back massage and facial. I would 100% give this place an A* and will visit again.

I'm a member here and I think it's ok. My only problem is getting to the pools to find them closed for classes. You have three damn pools. And after 7 it's for adults. I don't see the point of my coming, and we have 3 roads that we share with 50 adults due to classes. It's like there's always some kind of class.

Very good facilities and pool and clean changing rooms. However, some of the staff may need to improve their interpersonal skills. I went there for a birthday pool party with a group of 9/10 year olds. Unknown to all, this began with a 25 meter swim event. Yes, full length! This resulted in my daughter and several other kids crying when told they couldn't join in the fun in the 35-inch deep kiddie pool because they didn't pass the test. After speaking to two staff including the manager who kept saying no, the third (a lifeguard) said it would be fine if an adult joined them in the baby pool. It might have been clearer to begin with, and therefore the need for such a test. One of the moms was already in the water so it wasn't a problem. All the children who 'failed' the test were seen diving, playing, jumping from the float and having a good time with the rest of the company in the children's pool.

Spend an amazing afternoon at the spa. I was here for 4 hours (!). First I was able to use the main pool, I did my 40 laps. Then we went to the thermal spa, a beautiful jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and relaxation room with herbal and fruit tea + luxury magazines. So they call him in for treatment. I had a 50 minute Elemis facial - absolute bliss. All this for €45! Just a 30 minute facial in London would cost over £80! I will definitely be back, thanks to everyone who works here. Friendly staff too!

Wednesday May 4th This is the 3rd BEST alternative pool I have visited during the Aquatics Center closure (due to the 2016 European Aquatics Championships). I was in West London that day so I decided to visit the place and was met by a woman saying "COMPUTER SAYS NO" at reception. I arrived a little before 4 pm to go swimming. The lady at the front desk (although she had short black hair, her attitude reminded me of Carol Beer in Little Britain!) had no idea about the Aquatic Center being closed and insisted that I had to pay full fee to use the pool there . He didn't want to waste time arguing with her. So I spoke to another member of staff named Anton who was kind enough to get the manager on duty Roger out of the office. And it turned out to be very useful!!! She verified the email I received from GLL Better (regarding upgrading my membership to access other groups in the country) and allowed me to use the group. He also contacted upper management (I think he is the rec center manager) to report this incident while looking for an email on my phone and promised to contact customer service to correct the computer system error. Very clean flat in a spacious men's locker room with lockers that can be claimed for £1. Adjustable mixer shower was great! During my visit there were a couple of kids swimming lessons going on so the pool seemed a bit busy. The pool was 25 meters long with the shallow end approx 1 meter and the deepest "trench" 2 metres. The pool itself was very clean and seemed quite new. I noticed there was also a leisure pool with a 'fountain' in the middle where parents could interact with their children. But it was too crowded so I didn't go to that area. The only downside to the facilities is that they only have a dryer for swimwear (at least the only one I found is the one in the unisex changing room). So you had to wait in line for a while to use it when it was busy. There is a school right next to the recreation center, so I doubt the school would be able to send students there for swimming lessons. Otherwise, it would be quite a nice place to visit during off-peak hours.

Kensington Leisure Center has three pools for toddlers and swimmers, indoor courts, a gym, and spacious exercise rooms with mats and equipment for Pilates, yoga, and aerobics classes. The changing rooms are large, clean and safe, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The instructors are highly trained and there is a good selection of classes. There is a luxury spa upstairs and the center is a great asset to the community.

Excellent facilities, very affordable prices. Not much can go wrong here. We ended up sharing some of the space with other people (the gym is divided into seats, but some may overlap a bit). Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

The baby pool is nice, but it is important to check the opening hours. The main pool is ok but the paths are very narrow. It's also always cold outside if there's a pool!

It is a good facility, but with its drawbacks. The squash court hasn't been working for 3 months and they haven't fixed it, the badminton court is never set up so you miss the first 10 minutes of your class and you have to go to reception to ask for it to be fixed (even though they have your reservation and know you're coming). The staff is friendly. Calling to reserve a squash/badminton court is a huge task that takes 10-15 minutes. The gym is well equipped and spacious and the pool looks nice although I didn't use it. With better management and organization this could be a 4 star place.

The staff is great, especially Jeff. The reception staff are perfect and the manager (Stephen?) is a nice guy. The pool could be cleaned more often, but that's the only drawback I can find. These guys have put in a lot of effort for Grenfell and continue to contribute. So good for them.

We had a spa voucher for 3 hours, but they only gave us 2 hours of access. the location is ok, close to the station, the staff is ok; you have to bring your own towels and slippers as i don't think they were clean enough :( the price doesn't match the quality

New, great content. As good as what you will find in London. Clean changing rooms, family/learning pool, toddler pool and 25m lap pool. Slightly unusual weekend session hours so find out how they work online before you show up.

The facilities in the center are very good and generally clean in my opinion, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. My husband and I signed up for your joint membership offer. We have received conflicting information from various staff members regarding: what is included in the membership and how the membership is frozen. When we checked in they told us one thing but when we checked in someone else told us something else and we had to discuss it with the managers. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful, but I found one or two to be quite rude and unfriendly. There is a manager Oliver who has been very helpful in solving our problems, the problem is that they are problems that I don't think should have happened in the first place. Policies should be clear to everyone involved. So while the facilities are great, the customer service needs to be improved.

Beautiful spacious facility with lots of pools, great gym and a fantastic range of exercise classes for everyone. A nice cafe with delicious food and delicious treats to satisfy your hunger!

Very nice spa. However, it is right next to Grenfell Tower and the whole area exudes an aura of despair and hopelessness that you can feel in the air walking towards the spa from the Ladbroke Grove tube. The spa itself is lovely, absolutely 5 star for a spa. However, I've narrowed it down to four due to the area it's in.

I recommend a visit if you are in the area. If you don't have time to exercise, swim or aren't interested in many activities... you can just stop by for coffee and a snack. I have had several meetings there, several times, and found the facility and atmosphere to be really welcoming and relaxed.

Average prices, friendly staff. I went there to swim. The pool is very nice with starting blocks so you can dive, and the depth of the water is two meters. Customer service was good.

I didn't actually visit the leisure center. This center is located in the shadow of Grenfell Tower in South West London. Such a surreal place to visit. The overwhelming sense of devastation from what happened that terrible night remains evident. The atmosphere is quite oppressive. Hence the 3 star rating.

I love this place! It is very spacious, and the pool makes for a wonderful swim. The gym is well designed so you don't feel like you are training on top of people and the staff are very helpful.

It's where I usually go swimming and not too far from my house near Notting Hill Gate station because the pools are cold most of the time and good because they are cleaned regularly and they have a lower court 1 floor down for tennis and other activities. One thing it's not good at is that they don't have a place for lost items so if you lose something it's gone forever so don't take anything of value with you. Thank you!

I love this place, I started going there when I was very young when it first opened in the 70's. It looks like it might be closed now when I stopped by on Tuesday June 20, 2017, but probably due to renovations or updates, I didn't find out. Although I said it opened in the 70's, it has always been up to date with a clean modern look and facilities. It's a very nice place, a bit different, but maybe based on my good childhood memories ;-) It has a kind of circular building, and from the 2 nearby pools, there is a nice skylight on the mezzanine or first floor sunbathing floor :) The pools also have very nice upper viewing levels, nice for parents to watch their kids or those who just want to watch others exercise. and a nice walk between the jets to get in and out of the pool/pool. In a very nice area of ​​Kensington/Notting Hill in London too ;-)

I went to spas, great treatments by young professionals. Got an excellent massage with a friend thanks to a deal at Treatwell. The spas are quite small, but limit the number accordingly. We went on a Sunday morning and there were only 3 other people using the facilities. There was a steam room and a sauna, each of which could accommodate 4 people. There was also a jacuzzi that seats 4 people.

This is a fantastic new sports facility that has a gym area by the pool for yoga, pilates and other exercise classes including spinning. Here you can play squash, badminton, basketball, indoor sporting events. There is a coffee and snack area, a place where parents can watch their children in the pool. It also has a sauna and massage area.

Nice place, choice of swimming, gymnastics and more. Clean, not too busy, big.

This is a great place for the whole family!! Everything from a large and small pool to food for the hungry after a swim, AND at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for when you take your kids/grandkids or just yourself out for the day?

This is the best gym for me so far. I have tried several but this one beats them all, the cleanliness is excellent, the equipment is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful, they also have a sauna service where you can be fully pampered, as well as a very large swimming pool. and one for children, this recreation center is definitely family oriented with a functional dining room with seating area and a play area for the little ones.

The only problem I have here is that the Lat Pulldown machine has been out of order for quite some time and the clock in the TRX area sometimes interferes with my training. It would be great if they could set a time for when the area is in use.

Recently refurbished, excellent value for money as it is a non-commercial organization. Depending on your wishes, you can subscribe to the gym, fitness classes, swimming pool, sports games and SPA. There is also a nice and affordable coffee shop in the building.

A big help to the area as the Westway gym under the highway is a bit more expensive to use and not as nice inside but I hear they plan to renovate it soon. Also, the Virgin Gym is more expensive on Lancaster Road but has more facilities for the price. KLC, as I call it, is supposed to be a green building, what a laugh because it has lights on even when there is no one in the two study rooms because they cannot be controlled from the rooms themselves, apparently only in the main room. desk; It doesn't even have a flat green grass roof for a green building, and the hallway lights are always on with no on/off switch like in CityLit that turns the lights off when no one is in the hallway. A poorly designed spiral staircase is an idiotic move because it is dangerous when a lot of people are using it. Stannah elevators in Spain are the cheapest on the market and often break down. The gym on the top floor is very nice to use, and the two study rooms on the top floor have nice light through the panoramic windows and have problematic air conditioning. A good place to practice yoga and pilates. It has a large swimming pool and two children's pools next to the cafeteria and badminton courts on the ground floor and playgrounds. A good gym to go and join at a reasonable price.

I go for a swim at lunch time, not many people in the pool at that time which is good and very good prices compared to other chains.
